Larry Milliken is Liaison Librarian for the Humanities and Social Sciences at Drexel University. Prior to becoming a librarian, he earned a Masters Degree in Medieval Studies at Fordham University and was a doctoral student in medieval European History at CUNY's GSUC. As a librarian, he is interested in partnerships between librarians and historians in digital humanities projects. As a historian, he is interested in the use of spatial analysis for history, particularly regarding the travels of monks and friars. The missions of Franciscan friars to the Mongol Empire in the thirteenth century is a recurring theme in his mind. He is one of the organizers of THATCamp Philly. He is currently, and belatedly, playing Skyrim where he spends a great deal of time being knocked through the air by giants or roasted by dragons. He played more Joust and Zaxxon than Galaga.
